Gingers Story
9/23/08
Ginger was limping and couldn’t put her foot down she needed help before her mom’s pay day. Her vet wouldn’t see her if she didn’t pay that day. She had torn her toenail out of her toe. A little fix we were happy to help with.

"The Dink Memorial Fund For Compassionate Care"

A fund set up to help dogs that need extraordinary care in memorial to Dink. Your donation is greatly appreciated.

Dink was born August 18, 2000 to a pregnant rescue Yorkie. Runt of the litter, and rejected by his mother, I carried him everywhere for the first three months of his life and bottle fed him every two hours. We bonded as tightly as any mother and baby.

Dink grew into what seemed to be a robust, healthy adulthood. He was handsome, all six pounds of him, with bright eyes, shiny coat, and a hearty appetite. He smiled, he did his “Dink Dance”, he captivated us.

In July, 2003 Dink was diagnosed with a Grade IV luxating patella requiring immediate surgery. How was I to know when the tech peeled him from my shirt front July 24, that I was looking at Dink's bright little face for the last time? An hour and a half later Dink was gone. An undiagnosed collapsing trachea had closed completely and his breathing and heart stopped after they administered pre medication. After 45 minutes of heroic effort, the vet and his staff had to surrender my Dink, my Little Emperor, to the Rainbow Bridge.

Dink was a precious temporary gift, not quite three years old. Dink was cherished and loved and fussed over every minute he walked on this earth. He went to sleep cuddled by a vet tech and opened his eyes at the Rainbow Bridge, from where I hope he will visit me from time to time until I get to see him again.

In memory of Dink, this fund has been established so that lack of money for veterinary care need not prevent any Yorkie in need from living a life as full of love and free of suffering as Dink led.

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.

Shadow's Story

Update 7/1/08
Shadow went in this morning for his surgery and the doctor determined that there was not hernia but some fatty tissue instead. Shadow had a dental and had four teeth removed. He is recovering nicely at home. Thanks to everyone who donated to help Shadow. We collected $310 and his surgery was $228.58 so there is a little left in case he needs something later on.

6/29/08
Shadow was rescued from a shelter and placed in his loving forever home a year ago. Just by looking at his picture you can see how much he is loved in his new and forever home.

Last week his mom discovered that he had a very serious lump and took him to the vet who told her that Shadow needs a hernia operation very badly. This type of hernia can be life threatening. Thank you for your donation to help us help dogs like Shadow.

Now that you have read how the Dinks fund came to be and read a few of the stories we would like to tell you what this "Auction" is all about.

The monies that are donated to the Dinks Fund go to help little ones who would not be able to have necessary surgeries due to the families not being able to pay for some of the very expensive veterinary bills that can come along at the wrong time.  Dinks Fund steps in and either pays for the surgery or in some cases pays a portion of the surgery which really helps when we are faced with life's emergency's with our babies.  Repayment plans are set up to help replenish the funds.  But with all the little emergency's that have come up lately the fund is getting low.  We need your help to build the fund back up so we may help other little ones in need.  Who knows it could be you or me or maybe we know someone who really needs the help and there is no place else to turn.  Alot of times the only option we may have is to let the little one go to "Rainbows Bridge" because we can not afford the veterinary costs.  Dinks Fund is set up to help at times like this. No one wants to loose their baby because they could not afford the cost of either taking them to the vet or pay for a life saving surgery.
Please look thru our Auction and see if there is something in there you just need to have, or maybe you see something you know someone would like for Christmas......you could get your shopping done early..!!!!
If you do not see anything in the Auction you think you have to have then please just make a donation.
Thank you so much for visiting our auction and happy shopping.

Bently's Story
10-6-08
Bentley was a good boy and went outside in his back yard to go potty, while he was there a deer jumped over the fence and kicked him in the chest. His mom heard him cry and ran to pick him up, the deer’s hoof had split his chest wide open and you could see his heart beating. At the emergency vet had taken an x-ray and it showed that he also had two broken ribs and it was highly unlikely that he would live through the night. Bentley’s mother is a single mom with two kids and her family helped as much as they could but the bill was nearing $1700.00 and the vet needed to be paid. Dinks Fund was able to help and his mother will be making contributions every month to help put the money back into the fund. Your help with this bill will help this mother and these darling kids that love Bentley.
